I asked this in another thread. Is the booty family still involved with calvary baptist & in what capacity?
Could it be that shea is just like the other evangel qbs and be a product of a system?

He was committed to Arizona before ever attending Calvary.

How long has he been @ calvary?

Always possible and sometimes the systwm can carry over to college allowing for success but the kid has talent and that does mean something. I think his overall physical talent is overrated but still he's talented. Also happen to think the kid will be a very good college qb but don't see the pro upside. All that said, Franks is our guy and that should make us all happy.

Im happy we have a kid that wants to be here

I know people locally who question how Calvary can produce a big time recruit. Similar to some names from the past at evangel it's possible these small schools produce some players solely off their system. Calvary isn't exactly an educational standout much like evangel so it will be interesting to see how the kid performs at the next level. Calvary is a fairly new phenomenon.

The bootys no longer work there but are still evolved in Calvary in some ways I believe. I'm not sure what anymore but I still see them at games and around campus. What do you mean product of a system? The system he plays in will be the same system he plays in at Ole Miss if he signs there in a year.

Umm, all the Booty's live in California.

It's so frustrating to have a fan base full of people with little man syndrome. The second a big time recruit goes elsewhere, people feel the need to down play that players talent. Why even go there? Franks is our guy, why can't that ever be enough for some of you people.

The sons live in California! If Johnny booty (dad) moved to California it was recently.

Patterson will excel in Ole Miss' offense. He's a mobile pocket passer that will do great in college. Hopefully he has problems winning big games (ala vs LSU), for his entire college career.
With that said, Franks is the perfect QB for what Cam wants to do. Perfect fit for this offense. A little coaching up and this guy is 1st round NFL material. I am really excited to see how he develops.
IMO, we will have no QB worries with him and Harris for the next 5-6 years.

They are all gone, only there relatives still live here in shreveport.
Booty's nor anyone else had much to do with this decision other then Shea. He has liked ole piss for awhile, while I'm a huge Calvary fan and alum this will sadly be my last year cheering for him.

Get your facts straight before you spew crap out your mouth.
Calvary is huge on academics along with Athletics there football team averages a 3.2gpa
They have produced several d1 athletes and only look to be getting better at it.
There a top notch program now that Bachman has the reins and look for them to continue to put out top notch players like evangel did just a few short years ago.

Another stupid arse thread about Patterson.

No dog in this fight but Calvary is hardly a new phenomenon and its facilities are first rate as are the administration. Comparing the scenario to Evangel is totally wrong and inappropriate. The nations top junior golfer is a student and will attend LSU as well. Weston Steelhammer attends the Air Force Academy, plays football and is an honor student.
As far as a system QB I would say that Patterson does play in a great system, but is an excellent athlete as well. Time will tell about this aspect of the equation but give the kid and the school a break.
While my kids attended local Catholic schools I would of had no problem with sending them to Calvary given what I have seen and who I know that are involved with the school.

Yep. This family seems like more trouble than it's worth.
