It's a pretty sure thing.
I miss doing something. Don't have my gym membership anymore, and since I blew out my knee, basketball isn't an option anymore.

He's out of shape. Has been for years. Can't commit to any level of physical activity.
Same basic problem he has with gaming.
Bottom line, Sic has commitment issues. And difficulty in following through.

That's rough. I'm limited with my back issues also. You just have to find something you can tolerate. Don't overdue it an burn yourself out.

I tried crossfit just before I got married. My knee made a lot of it difficult, but all of them are like "don't worry about it, do what you can", but there's this big push on how many rounds of everything you can do, and I was tired of having to take a moment or two to let my knee settle down after tweaking it for the umpteenth time.

At least you want to do something. I'm lazy and don't care about getting fat.

What did you actually do to your knee? And what did you do to fix it?

i've been trying to at least walk 30 minutes a day around my neighborhood. my biggest problem right now is i'll eat well for a couple of days and then just fall off the wagon one day and wipe out everything

We all know this, you don't have to repeat it

Yeah I lost 19 lbs in the fall but I've gained 8lbs since the baby I need to get my diet under control and I'll lose 5 quickly.

Playing basketball, jumped and my knee went completely outwards. Ripped my MCL completely in half, tore my ACL and some muscle. Thought I'd need surgery but the ortho said I should be fine with 6 weeks of therapy. Did that, and therapist said I should be good to resume basketball as long as I was wearing my brace. Got back into that again, but after a month, knee went inwards. Remembered the PT, so did that for a bit, but realized I'd need to do surgery if I wanted to really get back into sports of any kind. Not really worth it at this point.

you don't want to have to have surgery when you're older though. it's a bitch the older you get

I go through periods of losing and periods of gaining, but at the end of the day I rarely eat out, don't eat fried things, almost ever, and deserts are cut to a minimum at my house. So for me to lose weight it just takes being hungry 24/7, and that's just not worth it to me

I'm dreading the time when I get old and easily broken... I'm going to become a fatass since the only exercise I like to do is soccer and basketball

this, seriously
I played soccer growing up and was kicked in my knee - it went completely backwards and tore all kinds of things - so glad I got the surgery when I was younger.
That being said, that knee does still give me trouble, but once it gets warmed up it's not a problem.

Yeah, but if it's just for recreational reasons, I can't justify it. I can exercise still, but the problem is I've never been a fan. Would rather play ball 3 nights a week. But that's more of a luxury now. I sometimes wish I had just done the surgery the first time I had the injury, before I was married. Now it would just be a unnecessary burden on my family.

I actually lose more the more games I play. If I play then I don't think about snacking.
Surgery is tough too because of insurance. My insurance paid for a few rehab sessions for my back but not nearly enough. They pay for just enough to get you back out there. I would have to get worse again to get more sessions paid for.

All this self-defeating talk has now made me lazy at work. Congrats on getting me fired in the near future, guys.

Just remember the meth look is pretty common behind the counter at McDonalds.
