55 points at High School Tourney
My dad was just telling me about when he played ball at Washington Marion back in the day and Chris Jackson's team came from Mississippi to play at the St.Louis American Press tournament. I knew he was a great shooter, but man he was unbelievable. We have great shooters in the league now, but seriously did Jackson have the greatest shot of all time and probably the most consistent shooting stroke when in a rhythm.
I doubt we will ever see another shooter like him pass through LSU

I was about 9/10 and I remember but Chris Jackson but don't really remember his play. But I've watched a ton of video on him and he, to me, is miraculous with the ball. I've never seen another player like him and I'm not sure we ever do again.

I had to turn my computer to face Mecca before this thread would load.

Here he is in 2012 warming up by making 102 of 104 jump shots.

The most exciting player ever.

He was amazing. I never saw Maravich in person, but it's hard to imagine him being better than Jackson. Not saying he wasn't, but it's hard to visualize.

Chris Jackson was a perfectionist...he'd shoot until he was satisfied..he was unbelievable...even as a kid he would shoot way past dark trying to make so many shots in a row before he would even go home...his high school coach would make them shoot free throws before practice even started until they missed..Chris would make over 100 or better and take up more than an hour or more of practice...needless to say, the coach stopped doing that...dude was phenomenal..look up the game (LSU vs Ole Miss, March 4th,1989) when Jackson and Gerald Glass had a one on one duel...its considered the greatest 1 on 1 duel ever in SEC history..Jackson had 55 pts (a freshman record) to Gerald Glass's 53 but Ole Miss won the game over LSU 113-112..I watched it on TV back then and it was by far another one of the GREATEST games considered in LSU basketball history...

That's actually the first time I've seen Chris Jackson highlights even though I've heard so much about him. He's like a mix between Stephen Curry and Stephon Marbury. His crossover and jumper are SO quick.

Thanks for posting video. I enjoyed watching #12 trying to guard him. Also enjoyed where CJ places his feet at the foul line to take a foul shot.

I wish someone had videos of randy Livingston while he was at Newman. Dude was the truth.
