Cajuns fans I am a Lafayette ex-pat living in Texas and I admit I have not kept up with the Cajuns this year. Can you share with the class what is going on with the program?
where the good in the program is?
where the bad in the program is?
Coaching/recruiting status? etc

The good in the program is the great beer selection at basketball games. The bad in the program is everything else. I'm not very basketball-savvy, but I thought the knock on Marlin was that he was a good X and O coach, but a horrible recruiter. I went to the LaTech game and their big fouled out. Marlin didn't take advantage of that with Shawn Long at all. It turned into the Jay Wright rec-center pick-up game show. That was when I rethought the idea of him being a good coach. Could be that my lack of basketball IQ failed to see the genius in Marlin letting Jay Wright do whatever he wanted to do.
Edit: I like Coach Marlin. If I'm the AD, not sure if I'd retain him or fire him. They'll probably let him reach the end of his contract before making any decisions.

This is what's going to happen. Don't have the money to fire a coach before his contract runs out.
For the record, I like Bob too, but I'm pretty disappointed with how this season has played out.

Yeah cause the nut jobs on RagePage would go postal on you for using "UL-L"
Appears that y'all have a lot of talent but very inconsistent.

Marlin is done. Sure we made the tournament last year, but he had two NBA prospects.
He just isn't that good.

We've actually been pretty decent scoring this year but our defense is bad and we have been terrible in second halves for the most part. We're not very good at breaking down zone defense. Shawn Long is really talented but he isn't super smart or a leader.

Bryce Washington has been a pleasure to watch.
A little undersized to be a big at the next level, but he's super skilled and plays with great pace and poise. True freshman and he's never out of control and knows how to carve out space with his body. You'd love watching him play.

I like him a lot too. He reminds me a lot of Augustine Rubit who dominated the Sun Belt
