I'd say LT with Reggie White just a notch below.

If LT played for the Saints and Ricky Jackson played for the Giants this thread would be different.

I say Deion. LT isnt a bad choice though.

Considering he played in NYC, LT certainly was the most hyped. Deserved, tho, IMHO.
Deion Jones, Reggie White, and Ray Lewis are runners-up.

my old man used to say that Jackson was better at all other aspects of being a linebacker other than rushing the passer than LT.
One other thing about LT: he was the first player I saw who consistently did the "slap tackle" to try and cause fumbles. Was there someone who did it earlier?

Ricky Jackson, I don't think LT was much better than Pat Swilling. I'm a tad biased.

I say yes. The guy was amazing

LT & Butkus & Reggie White were the first that came to mind. The a Steelers had some badasses back in the day: Mean Joe Greene, Mel Blount, and my personal favorite, Jack Lambert. Deacon Jones, Singletary, Ronnie Lott, Rod Woodson... all good answers.

Rod Woodson is the greatest DB in NFL history. I don't know what's so funny. He certainly has a case for best defender ever 6x all pro(at 2 different positions) 3rd all time INTs 1st all time TD returns 11x pro bowler World champ
I agree with this......
