Depression is a bitch. I struggle with it, but suicide is not an option. Couldn't put my family through that.

I'm not sure how it can ever be okay and I don't think you'll ever pinpoint anything. It's highly unlikely that one incident caused this action. He had to have had underlying mental and emotional issues that you may never have known about and will never know about.

It's terribly frustrating because it's normal to want to know EXACTLY why this happened and it's so hard to wrap your head around it because you don't have his problems, whether mental, emotional, chemical or otherwise. I think you trust that there were factors that existed that you knew nothing about and that he didn't show to the outside world and that you couldn't act upon.

When someone dies of a drug overdose, even then, you have some idea of why whether or not you understand the addiction. Loss from a physical illness or an accident is concrete. Suicide is a whole 'nother story and I'm no expert on this stuff, but my feeling is that we have to go down a different road to learn to live with it and move on, saving the good memories with that person. Easy to say. Difficult to do, but doable. I think there are more steps to that grief process.

It's not their fault. Other peoe shouldn't have left ways of killing themselves laying around in that neighborhood, especially when they didn't have ways of killing themselves growing up

think killing themselves is ok? It's not ok. For fricks sake. Why would someone cause everyone around them this much heartache?

Ignorance to how they feel is part of the reason they look for a way out.

You have no fricking idea how it is unless you experience it.

I know it's hard as a loved one to deal with, but you don't kill yourself because you think everyone loves you and your life is great.
I think this is your most mature and intelligent post to date.

What if the person is an a-hole who no one likes and who is a blessing to no one? If Ted Bundy had offed himself at 20 people would have said "Oh what a tragedy, he had such promise."

That's dumb. As bad as Ted Bundy was, there were people who loved him.

You are a dumb frick. No clue what you're talking about They do have a terminal illness. It's just mental God you are the reason I hate these threads. Uneducated, uninformed fricks talking out of their arse. Typical OT And everything you just stated is your feelings. Not fact FACT

No. You have no clue what You are talking about.

Resort to name calling and assumptions that have no basis in medical research or PERSONAL experience. You have no idea the depth and breath of my experience on this issue. I can guarantee it is more than everyone combined in this thread.

It's usually emotional and irrational people like you that consider suicide a logical option. No surprise at your response.
