That's why they weren't shite. Not Russell. Flynn could have led them to a super bowl. And before U say no he couldn't. 2 words. Colin Kap.

What was Seattles defensive ranks before and after Wilson. I'm pretty sure they were #1 the last 2 and top 5 his rookie. Before that they weren't. That's why they weren't shite. Not Russell. Flynn could have led them to a super bowl. And before U say no he couldn't. 2 words. Colin Kap.
You don't understand correlation and causation.

He would get 100 million on the open market four times over.
Wait, he would get 400 million?

I've honestly never heard wilson being called black.
The Black quarterback is no longer a novelty, so why would you hear his race mentioned? I'm not sure what you're getting at. Jackie Robinson's race was mentioned but Larry Doby's wasn't. Sylvester Croom's race was mentioned but Kevin Sumlin's wasn't. And Doug Williams' race was mentioned but Steve McNair's wasn't.

Led a team to Super Bowl based on defense. Got a huge contract. Team has to cut defensive players and not pay them so they sucked.

Read the post I replied to.

He's one of two RBs that are still worth paying [Adrian Peterson being the other]. SEA needs to improve the receiving & offensive line they have.
I disagree with that. The guy was already discussing a possible retirement. NFL running backs to not last long, they just don't.
As far as Wilson goes, he is absolutely worth a 100 million dollar contract because the market says so. If he's not top 10, he is on the cusp and will be in there very shortly. I don't expect him to ever put up Rodgers type of numbers, but he is incredible efficient and smart. He was a yard away from having TWO superbowls. Good quarterbacks are what you have to have in the league for sustained success.

Nevertheless, your argument has very little to do with Wilson & the Seahawks situation.

He would get $100 Million+ on the open market.

According to Kosmo, yes.

From who? I wouldn't pay Russell Wilson $20 million unless he was bringing at least two of Lynch, Thomas, Chancellor, Bennett, Sherman, and Wagner with him.
He's a younger more mobile Alex Smith. I wouldn't feel comfortable giving Alex Smith more than $10 million a year, no one is going to give a player marginally better than him twice that yearly amount.
The only way Wilson gets a contract worth that amount is is if it is over at least 6 years. If I were the Seahawks, I'd offer him 4 years, 40 million. If he balks at that, mayb 4 years 48 million. If he doesn't sign that, well hey, We can find someone else to hand off to Lynch 25 times a game while attempting 25 high percentage short passes each game.

Andy Dalton got 6 years- $115 Million from Cincinnati.
Just let that sink in.

Russell Wilson Comp % in first three seasons in the league
2012 - 64.1
2013 - 63.1
2014 - 63.1
Alex Smith Comp % in first three seasons in the league
48.7%
50.9%
58.1%
Smith's best three years are 70.5 (2014) 65.3 (2013)and 61.2 (2012)
All of the advanced passing stats HEAVILY favor Wilson.

Smith is making:
2015 - $11.9 Mill
2016 - $14.1 Mill
2017 - $10.8 Mill
2018 - $14.5 Mill
So obviously you're talking out of your arse, but I already knew that.

Maybe not. He is gonna get paid though. He's gonna be getting in the ballpark of $17-$18 Million though. And he will get long term so it will be over $100 Million and probably backloaded.

Every Super Bowl winner since the new millenium has either had a stud defense with a stud running game or they've had an elite quarterback. The Seahawks of last year and this year clearly fit in one of those categories. I'll give you a hint: Wilson is not now nor will he likely ever be an elite quarterback. It's funny what team success can do to the perception of a quarterback's talent level. Everyone was swinging from Brady's dick before 2007 saying he was an elite quarterback when he wasn't then either. He didn't starting putting up elite numbers until 2007. I wonder why? Couldn't be because he had a top 5 receiver of all time suddenly join the roster or probably the top slot receiver in the game's history sign up that year.
Anyways, Seattle can go ahead and pay Russell Wilson $100 million if they'd like, and enjoy never making it to the Super Bowl or hell even the NFCCG again for a long time. Hell they wouldn't have even had homefield and made it to the Super Bowl this year if the NFL didn't have stupid tiebreaker rules. I don't much like the Cowboys, but they should have been the number one seed.

Wilson is not worth elite QB money
The defensive handbook is out on him. Green Bay turned it into 4 picks, and NE forced in into the 2nd longest time without a completion in SB history
He got where he did because of a gift TD that special teams gave up, and a miracle reception with 50 seconds left
The Seattle horseshoe failed in a magnificent way in the SB, and Wilson is just not the guy to bring it back. Hes out of Fail Marys at this point

Forgot to add that Wilson ran for 849 yards this year, 539 (2013) and 489 (2012).
Smith has never rushed more than 180 twice in his career and over 280 once.
