Are they as healthy as they claim? I have been doing some research and have heard mixed reviews. Any OTer's drink these things to help lose weight? I just recently started a diet and am trying to determine if I should just omit going there all together. thanks

Some of them are, and some are jam packed with sugar. Check the info, they have it all on their app

I think they are cool because of the Smooth King Center. But I've never had one.

I've been drinking the lean1's lately, they're actually not bad

Can be. Depends on the ones you get. You can aslo get each one "skinny" which knocks off a bunch of calories.
The app is very helpful. Also allows you to scan and get rewards points which will get you free smoothies.

If you are doubtful about their nutritional quality then make your own shakes.
It's not that hard and much cheaper.

They do not claim anything inaccurate. But, they are deceiving because people think things are healthy that aren't. They only have a few without turbinado, and those are probably the best for you.

A successful "diet" or routine isn't based on one location, one item or one meal but rather an overall approach. You can still have pizza, smoothies, burgers and even friend foods and loose weight, but slamming a 32oz Angel Food while you're cooking your chicken breast and quinoa won't do you any good in terms of weight loss.
Also, do't get confused by automatically assuming weight loss = healthy. If the focus is health, the weight will come off. if the focus is weight loss, chances are you will forego some health and likely gain the weight back like alot of other people do.
Focus on changing your lifestyle, not changing your "diet".

Agreed, but I'm at work and considering my options for a quick meal to grab on my lunch break

Your best bet will be to bring a lunch rather than looking for the "best quick thing to buy"

Have to ask them to hold turbinado (sugar) and rinse the strawberries. At home use unsweetened strawberries and honey instead of sugar.

You may be busy, but you can make really good ones on your own. Almond milk, banana, blueberries, spinach, strawberries, plain yogurt, some ice (or use frozen fruit). Keep in the freezer at work if you can or in a small ice chest if you travel around.

thanks, glad you cleared that up for me chief! I thought bringing a lunch would have been a poor choice but now I know better LSUfan444

As one of the above posters mentioned, check the ingredient listing and nutritional data for each shake. Keep in mind that any restaurant or chain will probably include some degree of preservatives or additional sweeteners in their products.
Are you looking for a post-workout shake or are you just curious?

Are you really catching attitude when you're the one asking for advice?
If you know that bringing your lunch is healthier and you want to lose weight, why don't you do it? Are you going to blame it on your job?

this a meal replacement shake I'm looking for. I have heard that they nutritional info may not be entirely accurate which has caused me to be skeptical

I'm not blaming anybody, just was asking if the smoothies there were healthy. Thanks for caring about my daily routine though

Save yourself some time and money and just consume a whey protein shake with some almonds. You will be well-satiated with some healthy fats and an adequate amount of protein.

Thanks Steve. I will look into it
