We've covered that. Once again, my dad wants to buy me clubs for my birthday. I'm not going to tell him no thanks.

I had burners when I picked golf back up 5 years ago.
They are heavy, but they help you get around the course.

get a set that has nothing longer than a 5 iron ... something with 2-3 hybrids in place of the long irons ...

Ping G 30's....got a set 2 weeks ago and love them. I grew up playing sporadically with hand me down mp14s (uncle is a pro) and going from the mp14s to the g 30's is like sniper rifle to 12 gauge, 10 strokes off my round easy...

Seriously, look into the g 30's forgiving as hell, they've made golf fun for me. The difference between triple digit score and breaking 90 is huge.

Teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime. Buy a man a $500 fishing rod, he starves to death.

Mizuno 850. Mizunos are not massed produced like some, maybe not as LNG but accurate.

Go down to a local shop and hit some different game improvement irons to see which ones feel best to you.

I would go to a golf shop and hit them yourself to see what you were comfortable with. I made the mistake of buying a set of irons strictly off of reviews a while back, got them and couldn't hit them for crap. I just hated the way they looked when I was over the ball. I went and hit a lot of irons before I got my next set, and got the ap 1s and love them. Get fitted when you go try them out. That will help you a ton also.

I've been playing with these for a year. Bought them used for $100(3-PW). Very forgiving and get a ton of distance out them. LINK
