It's about time for me to trade in my truck and, honestly, I kind of let the cleaning duties fall to the wayside for the past year. Firs and foremost, I need a place that can do a really good carpet shampoo. Secondly I would like a place that offers a wax and buff service to get a few scuffs off and have the old girls shining up real nice like.
If it could be somewhere near downtown, that would be a plus.

Can he do a good shampooing as a mobile guy? I would think that would be the biggest weakness of mobile services.

Yes, he's one of the best if not the best in the area. Does a true "detail", not some overpriced wash and vacuum by three crackheads.

Honestly you should clean it the best you can yourself, and save the money. If you are trading it in on a new vehicle the dealership won't even care, and will have their in house guys do it anyway. As long as your paint, body, and overall mechanical condition is ok you will get the same for it detailed or not. They look more at mileage, and year model more than anything else.

If he can take off a couple of scuffs and clean the carpet, that will get at least $500 more on my trade in. It's a great ROI and I don't feel like doing it myself and spending $75 on stuff instead of just paying $150 to have it done professionally.

If you want to spend $300 cleaning your truck then that's great but I'm just letting you know 9 times out of 10 that trade in is going to the next truck out to the auction and they couldn't care less if it's clean.

This is actually true. They'll 'steal' your trade anyway, don't spend $300 more you won't recoup. Go to a coin operated wash for $3 if it makes you feel better.

Probably with the advent of the drive through car wash.
If I'm getting someone to wipe down he door jambs and armor all the dash, it's a detail. If it's pull through and self vac, that's a wash.

When people learned the difference between washing a car and paint correction. What Larry does is not just a car wash.

He does amazing work. About a year ago I had him do a full detail and his multi step wax/buff on my truck. The paint looks better than it did the day I bought it. And in the off chance I wash it myself it still looks better than it ever has.
