more like $20 a brick... dude for 3-4 years everytime we went to walmart for groceries i would walk by the ammo and buy a box. Told the wife, "ammo will only go up, and it will always be something of value." So rather it was a brick of 22lr, or a box of 30-30, or whatever i would grab one box. Well the sandy hook crap hit and i was sitting on a gold mine obviously i didnt sell, i would rather keep it. I have not been buying ammo any more during grocery trips since about 2 years ago. But since it is comming back, i think i need to start again
eta
and also, alot of my 22lr is stingers, It was my favorite. I a couple thousand rounds of stingers i paid nothing for "compared to prices now"

Well done. I wish I had done the same thing.

223 - 750 (most of these will be gone after the range tomorrow)
22 - 75
In my defense my AR is less than a week old.

I was stopped a while back for suspicion of DUI and the cop asked if I had any weapons in my truck, so I told him about the 357 in my center console. He took it out, unloaded it, and proceeded to search the rest of my vehicle. He found probably 20-25 boxes of .22LR stashed in various locations.
He then walked back to his cruiser and asked if I even had a .22 in my truck. I explained to him the shortage of ammo and that I pick up 2 boxes everytime I'm at academy.

Plenty to last the rest of my life if I don't get in a major firefight. I shoot less than 10 rounds a year deer hunting and I've got 26 boxes. Around 1000 .22 and half a case of steel shot left. Don't really target shoot, just hunt.

I have none. I lost all my ammo and guns in a terrible boating accident.

I keep a list
Somewhere in between 100 and 100,000 rounds

I'm going to the shooting range this week. I plan on decreasing my numbers significantly. Will not replace the shot ammo either. I don't see a point in it now days.

I honestly have no idea. Not an extraordinary amount, but most is just dumped into an ammo box. About the easiest to count is my 260, probably like 100 loaded rounds right now.

Yeah, I will not decrease my hunting ammo down to significantly. But I have 2,000 223 rounds. Besides shooting paper targets this is my coyote round. I'll shrink this number down to about the same as my other hunting ammo numbers.
