We pay almost $700 per month for a family of 5 ... although it would be the same price if we were a family of 3 or 4.

I am jealous.

I pay $1200+ for a family of 4. All healthy, and all we have ever used our insurance for is wellness visits.

I provide health coverage through my small business for my employees. 3 employees is now ~$2900 a month, up $1300 monthly since the reform.

9th through an employer or individual policy? Just curious. I kept waiting in 2013 for a notice fo a huge increase due to my husband and son both needing surgery and extensive OT for my son. Then in 2014 I had 2 knee surgeries and son's OT had continued for a while earlier in 2014. Huge increase didn't come. In 1997, when we started with an individual policy with BCBS, it was $250 a month and we had $5 or $10 copays for everything. Had to change coverage eventually but it hasn't tripled in 17 years so I guess I shouldn't complain. In 17 years we've met our ded three times -- 2002, 2013, 2014. I'm hoping that is it for a while.

Married with one child:

$127 a month, plus $10 for vision and $22 for dental

Great plan with no deductible and low copays ($10 for PCP and specialist visits)
