nah man, the rest of the team doesn't do a fricking thing. forwards and D men sit on the bench all game. no shot blockers, no penalty killers, carey does it all!

seriously though, a bunch of our roster is right there with backstrom in goals scored. only reason backstrom has those assists he has is because of who he is playing with.
backstrom has 18 goals.
pleks has 19
chucky has 18
gally has 17
so if our roster sucks other than carey, does the caps roster suck other than ovie?

All I know is that there is a mystique about the Habs, there is no other team that engenders the loyalty and passion that they do (outside my own club of course) and last spring when I was in Quebec the whole Province seemed to be urging them on...I wouldn't bet against the Habs in the playoffs is all I'd say...

I never said the Habs' roster sucks. I said it was fairly ordinary, and they are in first place overall because of Price. They would be a playoff team without Price. I don't think the Caps are a playoff team without Ovi, though it would be close.
But here's the top 9 goal scorers for the Habs then the Caps:
30 - 19 - 18 - 17 - 12 - 11 - 9 - 9 - 8
41 - 18 - 18 - 17 - 15 - 15 - 10 - 9 - 9
Well, Ovi's now at 42, but you can see the power of the Caps 3rd line there.
But here's the top 9 goal scorers for the Habs then the Caps:
