Why do people still hate soccer?

I don't at all. I do, however, hate the chip-on-the-shoulder complex surrounding so many soccer aficionados, such as with the dude here who was possessed to write such an asinine piece.

It really might be one of the worst articles I've ever read. Arguing a sport is more aligned with a mostly imaginary national attitude is retarded.

Which is fair, though you have to admit plenty of Merican football fans hate soccer because they're fricking backwoods morons. Some don't like the pace, which is fine. Some just don't like it, like I don't like hockey.

But plenty don't like it because they feel like they shouldn't like it, which is dumb. It's a fun game that allows me to drink beer and avoid gameday at 10AM prior to the slate of CFB games. Which is pretty solid.
