I do not. I would love to be able to get into these complicated rpg/strategy games with all of the people, inventory, and skill management. But during my gaming hours, that precious window of time between the family falling asleep and me needing to get some rest myself, I really don't like to use that part of my brain. I kind of gave up on Witcher 2 for that reason. And also because I had just finished skyrim, and the controls/mechanics of the Witcher 2 were frustrating by comparison.

That's a common issue. I get tired of boring dialogue and cut scenes because I feel rushed. I also think too many developers want it to be like a movie but it's not a movie. It's a game first.

How about those long cut scenes that can't be paused, and the baby has woken up.

The fact that some cut scenes can not be paused or skipped in 2015 is baffling. Dragon age can pause cut scenes but not dialogue.

Things were going so well , too
I usually skip the story and cuts scenes in most games anyways. Aint trying to read some novel, I just want to kill and explore.

I thought I was the only one that did this.

I can't let myself do this no matter how much I should.

The 1st time through I try to watch all of them but as mentioned some games are like a damn movie.

I appreciate what they are trying to do but I am pretty tired of developers trying to turn everything into a movie. Stop saying you want it to be more "cinematic." It's a video game first.

The only game truly tested my patience was MGS4 because solid portions of the game are non interactive cutscenes. Other than that, I'm struggling to pull up examples where cutscenes are "too long"

cut-scene starts
hit pause
[x] resume [ ] skip
Should be industry standard.

Yet this board is in love with the Last of Us. Make up your damn minds

To me they are the exception to the rule. Theirs were done very well and didn't go on too long.

You are all a bunch of grouchy douches
I have kids therefore games should skim on dialogue and cutscenes
