I have a 51 inch TV that I need mounted on top of my mantle over the fireplace. I would like all cords to be as invisible as possible. Can anyone recommend someone in BR that does this besides Best Buy?

A chiropractor may have some recommendations. Why on earth would you put a tv that high?

My dad and I did this ourselves a couple of years ago. We installed a new outlet right behind the TV to plug everything into. No wires visible.

That area of your fireplace is a 'void'. Basically a box that goes to your attic and an exhaust pipe that runs to the roof. You can drill straight through the brick or sheetrock depending on what you have. You can go up into the attic and pull wires fairly easily.

You should have an outlet in your attic that you can tie into to run electrical for an outlet for the TV.

If you're comfortable with basic tools and electrical wiring then it's an easy job.

Nobody is going to run the power cord in the wall because its not up to code.

Find one of these plates at Home Depot or Lowes and do this (except for a mantle). It's crazy easy. I've done it to 3 houses.

Below are even some instructions on how to hide power and hdmi.
