Alleva got wind, tried to force by sending letter prior to Dec 31. Move on, no buy out in site.
I would also like to see the contract, because the article only mentions e-mails from Alleva.

Read the article again.
This pic was on Jan. 1, 2015.
"Chavis...submitted a resignation letter to LSU on Jan. 5, four days after he landed in College Station, Texas, with A&M coach Kevin Sumlin."
"On Jan. 2, Alleva sent a letter to Chavis requesting the coach pay a $400,000 buyout."
Sounds like Alleva is looking out for the financial interests of LSU.
