Only qualm I had was that it didn't answer any questions and left me hanging a bit.
I have a lot of qualms with it, frankly. I think it is poorly directed in a lot of ways insofar as it has an almost schizophrenic tendency to veer off into random deals. I think either the dialogue is terrible, or the subs are terrible because some of the shite these people say is just like, "huh!?"
But the animation is fantastic and the overall plot that is [finally] starting to unfold is intriguing. Despite my qualms with the show, I am enjoying it immensely.
But how can this show be aired on American TV like toonami? It's the most disturbing, gory anime I've seen in a while.

That is why they play it at 3 AM. No problems showing it then.
And I do agree with a lot of your points. I kinda sum it all up under "they don't answer anything".
The show is built ENTIRELY around the action. Plot and dialogue come second.
I got the feeling that the entire first season was a "GRRM-esque no one is safe" buildup for the rest of the show.
Well, no one is safe outside of 3-4 characters.

quote:they packed in a lot of filler so it doesn't catch up with the manga, dragging out a few scenes over too many episodes. Also they cut a couple major plot points you would know by now from reading the manga.

Waiting for the live action movie to come out

I love that show, but I hate how long we have to wait for a season 2. I've been spoiled on a ton what seems like everything. Probably just gonna pick the manga up soon and read what goes on.

Really cool monsters. Annoying, cliche, bratty human characters.

I really enjoyed AoT. My biggest complaint is the same one I have for every Japanese anime. The characters never talk about anything normal people would. Regarding their plans, feelings, etc.... Maybe it's a cultural thing. I just don't see how this many shows would use the same plot device.
Then again, now that I think about it. There are a ton of American shows that do that same thing. Do writers not have a clue how people really communicate?
For reals. Though i feel the same about all of the animes I watch that are manga based. Which is pretty much every anime, ever.
Just go to the Wikia before then. I will warn you, they still don't give a ton of answers where the manga is. We get some, but not enough are answered yet.

I didn't click that because I thought it would be a joke trailer. Had no idea a live action was coming out. I think I can't wait. Wonder how far the movie will go. Surely they wont try to match the length of an entire 25 episode season.

It's good but it's too predictable with the standard anime tropes.
I prefer Knights Of Sidonia over AoT but my current favorite on Netflix is Deadman wonderland.

I enjoyed this as well. Just wish they had spent the money to get better animation.

Deadman wonderland.
I still think Psycho-Pass is the best anime released in a long time.

Not a big fan of anime in general other than a select few. This show was fantastic though. I started watching the dubbed version on toonami and had to watch the rest with subs on netflix because i couldnt wait for the rest to come out.
Dubbed version is lightyears better than the subbed version. I feel like they changed it up a bit to not be such broken engrish.
