How did you interpret that as throwing players under the bus? You must have never played baseball? When that I played, I loved to hear comments like that. It would light a fire in us. Go be a negatiger somewhere else dude

As to your idiotic comment about being a ball player and what have you: oh, shut the frick up, jock sniffer.

To actually answer the question if it was a sincere one, the interpretation is rather easy for those that care to read. Mainieri basically said we'll win the title as long as the players get the job done and don't screw it up. Mainieri has a history of throwing players under the bus after tough losses. D.J. Lemahieu for botching a double play, Wet Delatte for bungling a ball on carpet. Jared Bogany, Steven Waguespack, Daniel Bradshaw, Nolan Cain, Tyler Hanover, Louis Coleman, the list goes on and on and on. So with that history, when you see typed out, we're going all the way unless the players don't perform, it looks like what he has done in the past. Like I said, it is one of the few things I dislike about what he does.

No, he didn't. And your post is an example why I hesitate to even mention what I hear. You twist words into something totally different from what was said and you make it sound like you know exactly what was said and how it was said.
