Obvisously this gumbo expert didn't try ours, because he thought the Campbell's vegetable soup under the Hawaiian tent was the best

That was the name of the one my wife picked! I liked it. Them, Hawaiian Tent, and Jambo's were my favs
Tounces, which tent/number/location were u? I tried to get to everyone.... Only missed a few. I will say this, if you called the Hawaiian themed entry Campbells Soup, then you must been one of the 3-4 that was servin roux w sausage, carrots, or maybe the one with pimento?
Patrician, mentioned above, was beside the Paul Finebaum crew? I loved their sign.

We were in the back corner by the dumpster w/ the TV. Team 6. Darkest roux out there. We had andouille, duck, and chicken thighs. Probably spent the most prep time of all the teams.

Yeah thats my truck with the antenna on top. Tough spot, but yeah I was doing some serious recruiting. Ours had a pretty smokey flavor that set it apart IMO. I think we ended up in 5th place. Good turnout looking forward to a bigger venue next year.

Saw a guy wavin folks over .... I was tryin to catch everyone anyway, but came when I saw the fella wavin and stoppin folks.
Tough spot over there, seemed like folks were crowding yall out by standing around in the way.

Was a hell of a lot of fun, and awesome seeing everyone. Events like this have a way of bringing together friends and old customers I haven't seen in years, truly my favorite part.
