Is Foster the 1st blk head coach that they have ever had?

Yes he sure is. I was pulling for Valdez to get the job but I guess they didn't want to switch him to the East Bank...
I don't know much about Foster but if he can bring discipline with him, he has a good shot. They def need to stop making the team about ONE guy too. I Grew up on ESJ football and I've seen many big time athletes come & go. Had those guys had the discipline & work ethic to go along with their ability, they would have gotten a lot further than college level.
And for the poster that asked about Coach Dauterieve... He retired & still attends all of ESJs games. Regardless of what people think of him, his offensive game plan was off the charts.

If they are a lot more talented than whoever they play, they'll win. If not, they'll lose. That's been his story everywhere he's been. And it's also why he fought so hard to get the Amite job.

well he is taking Amite to the Dome... East St. John is one of the most underachieving programs anywhere.
thing is though, i wonder how much the coach affects that. maybe it's something just bred into the kids. it would help if the new coach brings discipline

The coaches didnt need to show up for the games and they still would have done the same.

Discipline is the key...very athletic kids but they need structure!
