Airline & LaBarre? I hadn't been to Pancho's (on Vets) since the mid-80s. I didn't even know there was one at Airline.
After the Saints Super Bowl victory parade, we ended up at that Pancho's. I was all excited because I hadn't been to Pancho's in 20(+) years (and pretty drunk). I was telling my friend's kids how awesome it was, raving about the sopapillas, and explaining about the flag, etc. We get seated and the food is awful, and the service even worse. I felt like a complete fraud. The only thing that saved the day was that there was soft serve ice cream, which seemed to make the children happy.

Yeah after the one on vets closed they opened the one on airline and Labarre. It closed too pretty quickly because it was terrible. Nothing like the one on vets. It's a planet fitness now. Pretty fitting. But yeah one of the original owners of the one on vets opened "2 amigos" on Williams in Kenner up by the lake. It's just like the old one on vets.

One Friday night we called in and ordered 50 tacos to go from pancho's for $60. There was 5 of us, we each are a dozen. There was so much grease the paper bags they came in fell apart
Was an awesome time

My father chose Panchos on two occasions to inform me and my sibling(s) that we had new siblings on the way.

At LSU we would often make a "business decision" to spend all we had but $4.00 (with LSU ID) on Saturday night and eat Ponchos around 4pm. We figured we could load up for a late lunch and early dinner. It was a good plan but we ended up crapping ourselves for 24 hours afterward. We swore each time we would never do it again... But we did several times.

Eating at Pancho's nowadays is like most childhood memories - you end up a little sad because it just doesn't live up to what you remember.

All the soft serve and candy you can smash... Loved that place as a kid

Ate at the one on Florida when I was a kid.. then we saw a rat.
They had the nerve to open one in Hattiesburg. It lasted 4 months or so. They didn't have flags. Workers were incompetent.
YOU WONT THE YELLA RIIICE?

about 40 of us went to the Pancho's on Nicholson during our fraternity's work week with the intention of running them out of food. Went through the line, loaded up, ate, and for quite a while raised more flags than the United Nations. No misbehavior, just 40 hungry college freshmen eating like pigs.
After some time, the manager came and said "That's enough, time to go!"
We vigorously protested, being smart college freshmen and all, that the sign clearly stated it was 'all you can eat' and she couldn't kick us out or stop serving us.
She confidently stated "That correct, and that's ALL YOU CAN EAT, so it's time to go"
Seeing we have been bested by the very clever wordsmith, we got a good laugh and peacefully left.
