What type of training is needed to become a barista at a coffee shop?

I just dropped out of LA Tech and im looking for a job. I've noticed that most of the guys that fix my coffee at coffee shops seem to be pretty high on life, so I thought I may give it a try and possibly make a career out of it. Any tips on how to become one?

I worked at CC's all 4 years in college. It's a pretty easy job. If you work in a college town, the pussy you can pull is awesome. It can be a little stressful if you work in a high volume shop. People are pissy about coffee these days.
