I heard Ford is coming out with an aluminum body for their truck. Is this the model?

It is awful, seen a few around town. Is it silver like that bc of the chrome package or is that like that on all king ranch?

Yes. In an attempt to "go green", they started this recycling initiative where rednecks and coonasses that drive F150s can just trade in their existing Ferd complete with empty Bud/Coors/Miller cans in the bed, melt everything down, and make them a whole new Ferd out of it.

Part of chrome package even though that truck doesn't have the chrome package

Must be a special order or a mistake

Yes. In an attempt to "go green",

You can expect to give up your testicles if you ever need any repair work done to that aluminum. Body shops will need specialized equipment to work on it and you'll be the ones paying for it.

I get your point but I am pretty sure Ford studied the issue before taking this step with the best selling vehicle in the country.

They did...and...For these trucks MSRP will be higher, repairs will cost more, and insurance premiums will go up. I think eventually the costs will go down, but for right now...they won't.

I'm not really sure what advantages they gained with the aluminum. It certainly wasn't for MPG's...I guess just more strength/ability in a lighter package.

My insurance increased $57 a year, and the MSRP was only $2,300 more then my similarly equipped 2010. Costs of the 2015 aren't as big as people are stating.

Year over year, does MSRP ever go down? Especially with a redesign.

I saw something a while back about insurance maybe going up in the 5-10% range initially until they got some real world data on collisions.
