I'm just saying, OBP is the new Avg. Fowler isn't as good overall but despite the difference in average, they get on base the same amount.

Valbuena was .340 OBP despite a low average. That's better than league average

The young pitchers in the Gattis and Fowler deals have me intrigued. I think if anyone can access the potential, it's our pitching coach.

Fowler's a walker. That's his skill.


Valbuena had an OPS about the same as Fowler.

Trade looks good for both teams to me.
