Somebody brought it up in another thread, and I am not sure if there is a clear-cut best answer. These are the coaches you can choose from.
1. Leeman Bennett
PRO: First coach to make the team relevant, known for Grits Blitz, 2 division championships, 46-41 career record
CON: Never reached NFC Championship
2. Jerry Glanville
PRO: 2 Legit 2 Quit, beat Saints in playoffs
CON: One winning season, shtick got old quickly
3. Dan Reeves
PRO: Got them to the Super Bowl
CON: That was his only good season, 10 games below .500 overall in Atlanta (and that's including one 14-2 season), 5 of 7 seasons had losing records
4. Jim L. Mora
PRO: Got them to NFCCG, winning record, worst season was 7-9
CON: Only there 3 seasons, canned for openly campaigning for college jobs
5. Mike Smith
PRO: Winningest coach in team history, highest winning percentage, 5 straight winning seasons, 4 playoff appearances, got them to NFCCG
CON: One playoff victory, 10-22 in his final two seasons
So rate them 1-5. I'm sure a lot of people would vote Reeves #1 because of the Super Bowl, but outside of that season he was a pretty shitty coach in Atlanta.
