He has been horrible his entire tenure here besides his first season. Is it his first season that he is living off of?

He's a coach on Team USA so he must be good.

He knew to suck up to AD and build a friendship. I remember in an interview AD said Monty calls him everyday in the off season to see if he needs anything.

Relationship with AD. AD loves the guy, the organization believes Monty is the best chance at keeping AD long term
