Got a fridge of beer and the gf is cooking me Mexican food.

I love cars and this is the best car auction the planet

good for you, bro.... enjoy it....

i mean i've always seen it on TV, but i'm not a car guy.... one of the pharmacist at the store i transferred out of was, and he would try to talk to me in "car talk" about engines and old cars, and i would just smile and nod not to offend him... i didn't have the heart to tell him i didn't have the slightest fricking clue about whatever he was talking about...

I printed out my tickets last night

You really should come out here one year. Not only is Barrett Jackson going on.....but a few other shows/auctions in the area. They take advantage of all the people flying in for BJ. Some of those shows have cheaper cars that us lowly normal folk could afford.

Driving around this am I've notuced a ton of classic cars driving around as well. It's classic car heaven here this weekend.

I love watching Barrett Jackson, but I always fall asleep watching it

One thing I was wondering after watching the other day...how do these charity auctions really work? For example, a rigged out 2015 Jeep Wrangler was auctioned off for I think $70,000ish (someone who was watching correct me if I'm wrong)...that's obviously way over value of the vehicle. So how does that work? I know this guy didn't actually pay 70,000 dollar for a run of the mill jeep with a bunch of accessories. Do they get the vehicle and then anything over the appraised value of said vehicle as a charitable contribution deduction??

No love for Pebble Beach, then?

I remember watching B.Jackson as a teen and when I went to school on monday I was geeking to them about some of the stuff and they just stared at me goofily. Some of those cars are art.

I'm curious as to the Ferrari that you and Nurse talked about that went for 40k. Was it a crappy Mondial or what?
