I got an LG french door with the drawer freezer on the bottom. I like it. It was around $2000. not sure exactly.

We got an LG recently too and sounds very similar but ours was a tad over $3k. It has the door-in-door feature and we love that feature. I really like we can get the most used drinks/foods very quickly without having to evacuate all of the cold air from the fridge.

Slight con to it is that the ice maker doesn't produce ice very fast. Some days we can outpace it if we have people over and are drinking a bit. We always have backup ice in the chest freezer and the man fridge in the garage has an icemaker, but if you don't have those two options available you might want to steer away from this one.

my current kenmore has an 'acceler-ice' feature which comes in handy all the time.

Agreed. Check the size of the ice bucket to judge how much ice you will have on hand at any one time. Mine does not have the door in door. It is a few years old and we have had no problems. I like the size ice cubes they make Just perfect for my scotch or bourbon.
