This is the same case that I asked about yesterday. The woman actually choked on a pill and died. My question was answered - they are charged with murder 1.

I used to live one street over from where she was killed. Very sad because that neighborhood is really special. People love to walk and are always hanging out outside. I guess that's over.

even if they didn't commit murder, they need to be locked up for life ... i've zero doubt they're guilty of murder, however ... hope they get the needle ...

A friend of mine was the victim of the Regions bank shooting yesterday morning off Fortification. Scary shite and over $20.00 and a cell phone in his case. They shot at him and shot his car where it wouldn't go. He ended up having to run away from them and luckily got to the McDonalds to call 911.

More suspects connected to teen murder/carjacking case

This one happened in Ridgeland over the weekend; around 1:30 Saturday morning at the Oakbrook apartments on Old Canton Road.
Two people were forced out of a 2014 Toyota Camry.
Police tracked the car to the Woodside Drive area of south Jackson on Monday.
Following the standoff and arrests, one of the teens in custody admitted to the the Ridgeland carjacking; but the car was not at that scene.
Police say the car was recovered Wednesday after a traffic stop in Hernando, Mississippi.
The driver, Curtis Hampton, was arrested after he fled a traffic stop.
Police say he tried to hide at a Subway inside the local Walmart.
Two other people, Montral Gibson and Breana Birtfield, who were in the car were also detained.
Investigators say they told them they were all from south Jackson.
The three are being held for possession of a stolen vehicle.
Ridgeland police could file charges against the three as early as Friday.
