Honestly, I feel like this hire just landed Miles on the hot seat with the fan base.

Not that the fans make the decision, but things will get very vocal in Baton Rouge if Steele doesn't work out.

With some of the best recruits in the nation wanting to come to LSU this is what we offer them , we should be in the running every year for championships but we're the laughingstock of the country

Yep it feels just like the Hallman era. It's all about national perception and that is that LSU is trending down. LSU has always had that potential from a recruiting standpoint, but Miles has slowly eroded the brand name. Now we will suffer until another up and coming coach comes across

You're absolutely blind if you don't see something wrong with LSU's program right now. I don't know the single problem or if they have one but the program is not stable right now.

Our AD has no clue, and our coach refuses to make adjustments - that should some it up.

our head coach also has no clue.

With the talent we have coming back, and money we can pay.....this is the best we can get? What a joke! Tells you all you need to know about what other coaches think about this operation.

Is Alleva trying to force him out the door?

alleva isnt giving any guarateed contracts if miles isnt the head coach. thats why we cant get another dc. alleva wants to make firing miles' arse next season as cheap as can be if he goes 8-5 again.

Ain't gonna happen...

“Les Miles is one of the most successful coaches in America and he has the LSU program in position to compete for championships each and every year in the most dominant football conference in the country,” Joe Alleva, vice chancellor and director of athletics said Friday afternoon. “He recruits at an elite level, his players graduate and he is a respected member of the community. We are proud he will lead the LSU football program for the long-term future.”

Along with Miles’ pay raise, his contract has been extended from 2017 to 2019. Miles previously earned $3.751 million per year.

He was was on the hot seat after we lost to Notre Dame.

With this hire, I doubt Miles makes it to the 2017 season.

It was a good run but it's over sometimes u can't overcome the perceptions if u keep your fricking head in the sand. That is what Miles does in his own words he ignores everything outside of his opinion to a fault. That means my friends he quit learning a long time ago.

What I want to know is where the frick are the big money boosters that have any influence in the program?? They are as much to blame to me as Alleva. They have allowed these assclowns to bring the program to mediocrity. Fire the boosters.
