Figured I'd ask the money board instead of the OT because maybe yall can give me some budget friendly ideas.

I dont want to be a cheapass, but I also dont want to spend more than I need to to plan this whole thing out.

We are looking at about 8-10 people going in late August.

Should I book hotel and flight together? Where should we stay on the strip? Where should we go during the day/night? Etc.

TIA

You can't afford to have fun in Vegas. It costs money.
I've done vegas on a budget and it sucks

I've been to Vegas one time and it was for a bachelor party. I'll be honest, it's not going to be cheap. If you go for two nights, I'd plan to bring minimum $1500, not including hotel and flight.

I mean that is if you want to party hard, go to clubs, etc. Best thing I did was book our clubs with redcarpetvip.com. They can book all the clubs you want and get you vip service with all the bottles and everything and you pay in advance. They can split up the cost between everyone in the group and you can see who has paid and who hasn't. You need this because it's gonna be hard to get 8 dudes into a club at the same time. Good luck

lulz.

Not to mess with you but Vegas is very expensive and there is no real way to get the most out of without splurging. Others may have better ideas.

One suggestion I do have is to take a club tour. it only costs like $150 and gets you into several clubs with drinks and no waiting in lines.

I'd look at an all-inclusive stay in Cancun or Cabo as an alternative.

Well, if you had any friends who were gamblers, you could get the rooms comped.

You then use some strategic credit card applications to pay for the flights.

After that, you're on your own and still need some fat stacks.

Friend of mine is having his there in March and this is how its going down for the rooms at least. My wedding is two weeks later so I'm making an executive decision not to be there

Man, I could tell you stories...but there are ways

Obviously, check for specials. Airlines, hotels, etc. Stay off the strip. There are many hotel motel rentals not exactly on the strip, but very close.

OR...find out the scene/coolest place to be. Plan on being there and going to the different clubs there. Crabbing Wil add up. It's 20 basically just to get in.

Liquor store. Bottles and beer on ice in room......drink there. Bring beer by pool in your own totes. Gamble early on low limit tables and get pounded on the free booze. You might drop 100 or so but get drinks out of it. Tip waitress and several can get drinks watching one or two guys bet. Drinks will be $8 in a club MINIMUM! As for draft specials.

Vegas is built on shaking every dollar out of you from the time you wake up till the time you sleep (both hours). Keep that in mind and don't get caught up in trying to be cool. You will leave broke.

Also, don't be a fricking moron and take pics with girls or while partying...the divorce will cost even more.

late August

I hope you're not going during Labor Day Weekend. That's one of the busiest times of the year and everything is jacked up in price.

I've found some pretty cheap flights to Vegas via Kayak (BTR-LAS round trip for ~$320 a couple of years back). As others have said, stay off the Strip and try staying downtown. Down there the rooms are cheaper, booze is cheaper, food is cheaper, and it's always nice to get away from the madness on the Strip every now and again. If you stay downtown, get a 24 hour pass for The Deuce bus services that goes downtown to the Strip. Only $7 last time I went. Will take a little longer than a cab, but you'll save a shite ton of money.

If you decide to stay on the Strip, personally I've always stayed at Bally's. Nowhere near as glitzy and glamorous as the Wynn, Cosmo, etc, but the location is perfect and it serves it's purpose as giving you a place to shower and sleep. Mirage is also nice and reasonably priced.

As far as stuff to do during the day goes, pool parties. Rehab at the Hard Rock was fun (trashy as frick, but still fun). EBC at the Wynn is also a good time, so is Wet Republic at the MGM Grand. Nightlife wise, anything at the Wynn is on point. Tryst, Surrender, XS. Hakkasan is legit, so is Drai's.

Would highly recommend opening up your wallet a little bit more to get the best experience.
