Only One Freshman has won one in that time span.
2009 - McElroy = RS Junior (4th year)
2010 - Cam Newton = RS Junior (4th year)
2011 - McCarron = RS Sophomore (3rd year)
2012 - McCarron = RS Junior (4th year)
2013 - Winston = RS Freshman (2nd year)
2014 - Jones = RS Sophomore + Grey shirt (4 years)
I notice a pattern that only one QB with less than 3 years in college has won the NC in the last 6 years.

You're completely missing the point. All these guys were FIRST YEAR STARTERS. True, some had been around awhile but none took any prior meaningful snaps. So please get off the obsession with age and instead focus on actual playing experience.
