Needing to buy a couple to put up on a new piece of land. What's some decent ones for $150 or less?

Plenty at that price point. I like moultrie but get cams that use AA batteries and fill them with lithiums and you should be good all season.

I think it's just luck of the draw. I've seen $250 cuddy backs that didn't last a season and $75 WGI that did great. Bought two Primos at the same time one took pics one didn't.

Personally had the best luck with a Moultrie, they say to set them facing north cause the heat from the sun and wind moving branches can cause them to take pictures without an animal in the frame.

Had Moultrie's for a few years. Problems with both of them. Went to Browning and so far so good.
