We heard through various insiders that recruiting capability was going to be important. It is plausible (if the insiders actually know anything) that Miles passed on him because he didn't feel like he would be a good enough fit recruiting in the SEC. Shoop would also have the same knock against him, because even when he was at Vanderbilt, his recruiting territory was further north.
