True. However they also play FSU every year which kind of softens the blow of losing the UGA game at home every other year.

Also true. However, that seems to be another one of those things that is ingrained in tradition. I think a majority of UT/OU would like to keep it in Dallas (could be wrong though)

That all said, playing sorry arse BYU in Houston is pathetic. Sucks for those that pay $3k+ per season ticket.

The neutral site games are obviously profitable for LSU (otherwise they would not play them). However, at some point you run the risk of cutting of your nose to spite your face. Season ticket holders aren't going to continue to pay ever increasing prices for what generally amounts to 3 horrible matchups and likely 2-3 good/great SEC home games. Especially when you ask them to pay $100+ a ticket plus travel expenses to watch LSU play their one good non-conf opponent on top of what they already pay for season tickets.

Every game is on TV now. There's no "need" to actually go to the game anymore. Schools all over the country are worried about decreasing attendance at games. Charging more for less is not a great recipe for increasing attendance

Great! I like the neutral site games.

BYU will have more fans in Houston than Wisconsin did. UW only sold 9K tickets and probably had 12K fans there. BYU will have at least 20K there. Mormons come out of the woodwork for events like that.

UT also played UCLA @ neutral site. Imagine if LSU had TWO neutral site games like UT. Holy shite the meltdown.
