No. There is no hope. Time for you to head up the line on the bridge.

Without a legitimate QB and at least a semi-competent passing game, I have zero hope that LSU will compete for anything relevant in 2015.

Well we had the #2 recruiting class in the country last year and should finish with a top 10 recruiting class this year.

quote:
Throw in the fact they don't seem interested in hiring probably the best recruiter ever

You have absolutely no clue what LSU in regards to their plans on the defensive coaching staff.

quote:
And if so what is our hope? Is it just recruiting stud prospects to keep up from dropping to a .500 record?

Isn't it usually the players that keep the team from dropping to a .500 record?

Tons of questions with no answers.

Bunch of really stupid questions with easy answers.

We will never out coach anyone, especially now since we do not have Chavis against A&M. We have always had premier talent...that got you 5 losses this year smart guy.

Alt26 wrote a nice post about the impact of social media on a thread in the coaching changes board:

LINK

It's about 2/3 of the way down the page, and I replied with my own opinion at the bottom of the page (page 1, in case the thread extends to a 2nd page).

But to directly answer you: yes, there is hope, but knowing so much about the process makes it frustrating, and does increasingly make it seem that we won't find a good DC.

Thank you, maybe I should have used being frustrated over having no hope. Good point. Sorry I'm not perfect.

That's a pretty dumb statement with absolutely no merit or evidence that you could possibly use to support it.

Also, I didn't say one single thing regarding the ability of our coaching staff. I talked about our recruiting classes mainly since you seem to think there is no hope for the LSU football program, despite the fact that we had the #2 class last year and possibly a top 10 class this year.

Is this the only example of out coaching you can think of in regards to LSU?

Everyone in the SEC West has talent, and lots of it. We went 8-4 which is right around where everyone had us pegged before the season after losing 4 of the better offensive players in the history of the football program. If you predicted/expected us to do better than we did, you're probably a mouth breathing retard that thinks LSU is the most talented team in the universe and should never ever lose a football game no matter what.

You also probably believe that Miles intentionally does things to put the football program in a worse position to spite the fans as well.

You also probably believe in Bigfoot and aliens.

Revisionist history, right there.

Some may have said 8-4 and got called negatigers... but, I assure you, a shitload of people predicted better to way-better than that.

We went 9-3 in 2013 without a defense and lost all their star power on offense.

8-4 was pretty common

I already know you're dumb as frick from the thread the other day, but I'll waste my time responding anyway.

Wrong.

Some people may have said our ceiling is better than 8-4 and that if everything went perfect we could do better than 8-4. Those people were 100% dead on. We could have easily beaten Bama and produced a better record than 8-4, but it didn't and we ended up 8-4. Most rational people had us predicted right around 8-4 and maybe 9-3.

quote:

negatigers

No. These people were predicting 6-6 and 7-5 with the offensive departures we had.

hope/optimism will rise when the Les Miles/Alleva era is finished and we move on to a head coach and administration thats more progressive and aggressive about winning national titles.....
When exactly has hope or optimism ever been in this fanbase???? When they hired King Saban this fanbase thought it was a terrible hire, before Saban won the NC he was hated by 70% of the hopeful and optimistic fans..... So to answer your question NO!!! THERE IS NO HOPE I don't care who they hire this ever hopeful and overly optimistic fanbase will 2nd guess it and start preparing for doom and gloom and the end of LSU....... It's just this simple, Miles makes a competent hire or he doesn't. We either remain competitive or we don't. Miles wins a cpl more yrs and retires or loses and gets fired. Then when the next coach is hired the bright and hopefully optimistic fanbase will hate him too!!!!!!!

Dude make up your mind...You wanna say on one hand we have top 2 recruiting class and this year a top 10 but we have been doing that. I did pick for us to lose 3 or 4 games but to your point since we should have so much hope in top tier recruiting classes should we expect to lose 4 games every year? That is your logic. And yes plenty of merit to support being out coached...Go look up every team we have consistently out recruited that has beat us or come extremely close to it. That is merit for obviously being out coached.

First off ... F YOU, POS.

You bring up the Bama game ... and then conveniently leave out that we should have lost the game to the powerhouse that was Florida if not for their WR/TE (don't remember) absolutely dropping an easy TD in the end zone very late in the game.

So ... I'll see your 8-4 could have been 9-3 ... and then counter that 8-4 could have been 7-5.

You know damn well there were pumpers on here predicting 10-2 / 11-1.

People are not pissed that we went 8-4 ... people are pissed at HOW we went 8-4. Why can't people understand that?

When the number 2 recruiting class in the country means those players are true freshman? Sure why not? Those players don't turn into college superstars over night.

And yes plenty of merit to support being out coached...Go look up every team we have consistently out recruited that has beat us or come extremely close to it.

So coming close to losing a game now means that we were out coached? Brilliant.

That is merit for obviously being out coached.

No. No it isn't.
