I actually had someone pull this on me in an interview years back when I attempted sales.....I thought it was a dick move, but I played along in my own way. I pulled out my checkbook and wrote him a check for $20.00, then on the back I wrote a conditional endorsement requiring that it be endorsed by " The Pen"...and then told him he could buy the pen for $10.00 and by doing so this pen would actually MAKE him money.

I was offered the job but didn't take it.
