Cooper and brick were also replacing coaches that had been fired. Chavis did not bring in coaches to replace established successful coaches as would be the case now. Little different scenario

Do you LSU bro? Chavis "in theory" replaced the position Bo held that was temporarily "occupied" by Peveto and Mallory. So when these 2 "left for new jobs" 3 vacancies were created, which Chavis was able to fill with his guys as CLM deals very little with the D.
This was most the exception than the rule.

I haven't seen where Will Muschamp or John Chavis has brought in new staff yet. Regardless, both of those are due to firings.
DCs usually bring in their own staff when the previous DC and staff was fired, not when the DC left voluntarily.
