Attendance definitely went up with the addition. I'm just saying that if we weren't able to get 90k in a 92k stadium during title run years, it stands to reason that we didn't get 100k in a 102k stadium during a subpar season. Not sure what Miss St was like as I had to miss that game, though I doubt it being that nobody knew they were good at that point and they aren't typically a big draw. An actual attendance % could have gone down even with thousands of more people in the stands. That should be the argument though it's a stupid one. Unless Alleva releases the true numbers, it will be eye test against eye test.

Les wouldn't waste his time "creating the illusion of competition". If Brick was for sure the guy then he would have been named DC already. Les and the administration don't care about the fans reaction to the hire

Wait so we're melting because random guy on tRant says Brick will be the DC? In the past week random internet sources have told us:
1. It will be quick and it will be Oregeron as DC
2. CP / BeBe 90% done
3. CP is the favorite at the same time CP no longer being considered
3. Stoops will be offered the job
4. Schiano will be interviewed
5. Shoop will be the new DC
6. Brick will be the new DC
Can we stop freaking out over this now?
1. It will be quick and it will be Oregeron as DC

They aren't trying to help shoop. They were interested in shoop but he's not interested in LSU. Him and franklin were using it as leverage for the school to give him a raise...even ott and hanagriff were saying it at lunch.
Brick has been les' #1 choice from the get go though

If it is Brick, not that I believe it, I want to see what his salary becomes. If its less than 1 mill, then Alleva is dead to me.

Agreed. If there are two options on the table, one Haley and two Shoop, you do what you have to do to get him short of paying him a ridiculous amount. I am worried Miles wants Shoop and O on the staff and Alleva doesn't want to fork over the cash. We lost Chavis at what? 1.3 mil a year? Goal should be to move Ensminger to an office spot, use that $300,000 plus whatever Chavis wanted to get Shoop and O on staff. Ensminger does nothing and trading him and Chavis for Shoops and O is an immediate upgrade.

I'm too lazy to look, but Moscona a couple days ago said Vandy D was in the top 20 nationally. FWIW.
I do know PSU gave up 314 points (26.1 per) in 2013, and 242 points (18.6 per) after Shoops showed up. FWIW

Because if he can find one better than brick that works out for everyone he'll go with that guy. But he's not going to pick just anyone when he feels more comfortable with brick. His coaching circle is a tight knit group.

Ok frickit men. I got somthing to anounce. I'm the new defenseve cordinator. I can't promise beter tackling or recritinh in fact I can promise allin thatl be worst. I do promise a lot of wild turkey and rolexes for big plays. Ill answer qeustions now

Exactly! I can see a Meechigan giving Miles an "obligatory" interview even if they didn't want him, but why does LSU "owe" Shoop an interview if they don't want him?

It sure as hell better be less than 1 million for Brick. Dude has never proven to be a competent DC. If they pay him 1 mil I might not devote the 3 hrs we just agreed on. Shoop is making like 400-500k a year and his Defensive number are better than Chavis and Smarts while coaching at Vanderbilt and a sanctioned roster at Penn St. If anyone deserves that much it's him.
