More than I expected when I went somewhere. Worst rates in the country apparently.

$127 a month for full insurance

Rates in certain parishes in LA are absolutely awful.
We have a 9 year old Honda Civic and a 6 year old Dodge Grand Caravan, both paid off, carry full coverage on both with a $500 deductible, and pay $240/month.

Probably not worth carrying full coverage on, but that's a different story for a different thread.
Full coverage on a Cadillac Escalade & F-150- $275/month, $500 deductible.

The rate I was quoted by Allstate is much higher than what y'all are paying. What gives?

You need these posters to tell you their liability limits and whether or not they are carrying uninsured motorist.

What does "full coverage" mean?
If you hit another car and cause bodily injury, what is the full coverage you are paying for?

I am currently paying $280 for a 9 year old truck and a 12 year old 4 Runner in Orleans Parish with State Farm but I'm changing companies and got a quote for half of that price.

When I recently moved from Baton Rouge to Tennessee, my car insurance went from $205/month to 115/month for two cars, same full coverage.

Mine went up from lafayette to Houston
Down from houston to Katy
Then down again from Katy back to lafayette.
All with State Farm...same plan

none of this means anything unless you quote your coverage
10/20
50/100
100/300
and deductible
etc

I believe the coverage I was quoted was
50/100

50/100
I'm not going the minimum, I drive a lot for work and have uninsured motorist.
quote was 180.
