Sounds like bullshite to me. Chavis is whining little bitch who had problems with Cam Cameron. Thats the only problem Chavis had with LSUs offense?

I've always liked & admired Chief but this, coupled with the manner he left (according to player's comments) smack of sour grapes and a feeble attempt at polishing the tarnish from his image to me. Not many (fans OR staff) have been happy with our offensive output but as an excuse for all that's happened is just not ringing true. I think it was the combination of money & contractual wording that did it - IMO, Chief demanded both the extra money offered byTA&M and removal of the clause he found offensive removed. It was declined, his pride was hurt and he moved on rather than swallowing hard and accepting the offer on the table. I think he's feeling bitter, has lost a good deal of the attributes many bestowed on his character and is doing what a spurned woman would do - deflect blame & inflict damage however possible. Wouldn't be surprised if it's not more to come.

The sources said the contract negotiations, the Aggies offered $340,000 more annually, were a non-issue in his decision to leave LSU and that Chavis simply felt it was time to go.

Chavis also realized that Les's days are numbered at LSU. Thus the big deal over guaranteed $.

no doubt he had plenty of great defenses , but what about last season when the offense carried the defense ...

i guess we will see next year , it seems to me most of our offensive problems was the youth at skill positions this year ....

maybe he has no faith in cams offense and then maybe that article is bs , we will see .....

If Chavis had planned to leave all along why even make LSU offer you a contract? Pretty damn dirty if you ask me, now you've locked down your assistants and any DC that comes in is locked with these guys and can't bring anyone himself. LSU looks like complete buffoons in this as well.

Despite the stats/rankings, Chavis' defenses shite the rack in the last drives of games pretty consistently during his tenure. But that's not to discount the offensive problems that fricking PLAGUE the team.

OP... You quoted a Jim Kleinpeter article, a guy who openly admits to 'vetting' his sources by saying "well, this other guy on this site said it so have to run with it". There's a bigger chance that his 'source' is Derek P and Derek P's 'source' is none other than Jim Kleinpeter, with the two talking over drinks one evening than this coming from anyone meaningful.

As soon as I saw A&M was after him I said he'd entertain it for this reason. I got scoffed at by everyone that he'd be an idiot to go to college station. You retards keep putting your faith in Miles and eventually you'll be just as fed up with his antics as I am.
