It would have been nice to see Harris at least one series a game this year. Didn't Flynn always get a series when behing Russell?
Ya know, it's obviously impossible to argue with Miles if he actually has a QB competition this spring. There SHOULD be one! It also is telling. It says that Miles believes BH is at the least, legit competition for AJ meaning Miles himself doesn't see a real gap between the two even NOW!!!
But, like so many things Miles, it absolutely boggles the mind that he can think this on Jan 1st but not have planned to get BH reps in a meaningless bowl game.
And, it boggles the mind how, if you think your Freshman may be the guy next year and you've already burned his redshirt, you don't absolutely FORCE opportunities for him to get in after the AU game.
ESPECIALLY once we were out of the SEC running. Watching that complete abortion of the Arkansas game and not getting BH in was pure incompetence. I know the pumpers hate that when I say it about Miles, but really, some things he does just are flat out incompetence.
I can think of no other coach I've seen in my entire life who, if he believed the backup was legit competition and his starter was abysmal doesn't get the backup some reps. It is absolutely inexplicable.

None of us are at practice and seeing the competition every day. I have to believe the coaches see things we don't. In a perfect world Harris would have redshirted and spent this season learning the playbook and maturing. Jennings would be also be on the bench doing the same thing behind a senior QB, maybe playing some backup.but that was not the hand we were dealt. Both are forced to learn on the fly and haven't adjusted well. From what I read, Harris particularly needs more time and I think Miles is teaching him some hard lessons. I truly believe there will be an open competition in the spring. Neither Miles or Cameron got to these jobs because they are stupid despite what some FANS think. They know it's in their teams best interest to get the best players out there. I ll wait to see what happens in the spring. Incidentally don't sell the incoming freshman MacMillan short. I saw him in a couple of games and he looked as good as either QB.
