For those who don't follow recruiting, 5* SG Antonio Blakeney is choosing between us and Kentucky today. He is making his announcement at 3:30cst on ESPNU. Pairing him with Ben Simmons and others could land is preseason top 25 next season!

FWIW, my coworker and close friend is the biggest UK bball fan I know. He spends half of everyday on their pay sites following recruiting.
He says the consensus with the UK insiders is that Blakeney is all LSU.

Getting Blakeney and Simmons would put LSU firmly in the top 10 to start next season IMO.

It's very realistic we land him. I would even go as far as saying I will be surprised if we don't. Patrick and Simmons have been recruiting him very hard lately.

Best part about getting Blakeney would be the fallout with other players--suddenly it would be even more likely that we landed kids like McVeigh, Chad Lott, Brandon Sampson, and kids like them next year.

I don't know much about his recruitment, but apparently this affects JaQuan Lyle in a positive way as well. Another big time prospect.
