"Back in the day . . ."
Okay, does anyone on this board remember
Duke Bardwell
Butch Hornsby
Tubby Ziegler
Cold Grits
Harold Cowart
Courtney Westbrook
Skippy Varnado
Warbabies
For awhile, BR had a pretty solid music scene. I realize that's in the past and I have no idea what's really happening there these days.

I saw all these guys in '73 and '74. Varnado also played organ for the Warbabies. Played drums later, also for the Nitetimers. I played guitar for two years with them, before I got into politics in B.R. and had to quit. Saw Duke Bardwell play, saw John Fred in the late 60's,like '68/'69 when in high school. Greak Fountains were good. Loved Van Broussard in the 70's/80's. I had to move in '89 and I miss all of those guys. I saw Johnny Rivers play in the 60's when I was about 17 or so,at a pizza place.
