I know it's been in the news lately that the Administration is going to normalize relations, but does anyone know how hard it is to communicate with a regular Cuban citizen in Cuba right now?

Is there a mail service from the U.S.? Do Cubans have access to e-mail? Fax?

Thanks for the help.

Most Cubans don't have internet, the only internet you'll see in Cuba are tiny internet cafes. It'll take awhile before most Cubans have access to internet, whatsoever.

Don't know offhand, but if you make contact, be sure to get them to send you a couple of bottles of Havana Club. Hell, grab me a couple of bottles too. My usual year-end contact for such things (from Cuba through the UK) has dropped off the map.
