Based on what I can see, there is nothing sinister, egotistical or surprising about this statement by AJ.
What I gather from all this is that Harris, while clearly the better talent, is simply unwilling to put in the time or effort to contend for the starting position. There's a lot of circumstantial evidence to support this, including statements from teammates and Harris himself.
We may only have one guy preparing to play, no matter how that guy performs.

the thing is i'm NOT convinced Harris is the better talent. sure, he throws some damn pretty passes and they SEEM more accurate and more timely than AJ's. but a QB has to have much more talent than passing. leadership, toughness, etc

Circumstantial evidence, huh? Please produce these statements you speak of. I do recall Harris stating he must work harder. Most true competitors will lay the blame on themselves and work harder to accomplish their goals rather than blame others. That does not mean they were not working hard in the first place.

Harris also stated that the Auburn game plan was great, he just played badly. We all know the game plan was terrible and did not put him in the best position to succeed. Again he placed the blame squarely on his shoulders rather than blaming others. Does that mean it was a great game plan?

I await the quotes from the teammates indicating Harris does not work hard enough or that he does not know the playbook. Please produce the circumstantial evidence you speak of. By the way, Harris did state that he knows the playbook.

Please stop making up reasons as to why Harris is not receiving playing time. No one here knows. Some mental midgets choose to ascribe negative reasons (i.e he's too lazy, too dumb, too cocky, etc.) when they don't know what the hell they are talking about.

Occam's Razor. The simplest explanation is usually the correct one.

Harris better get his shite together in a hurry. Why do you think CC just brought the kid in from Florida at this late date?

There's something there that LM/CC don't like about BH.........
