Meh, difference of opinions I suppose. I personally can't stand NOLA. But, Sugar Bowls/a rare Saints game.

Maybe it is different to people that live there/around the area.

I think uptown Nola, midcity, and the garden district are some of the best areas to visit in the country.

Those places, outside of some places in midcity, don't smell at all and are loaded with money, shops, and restaurants.

I live in midtown Houston now which is a cool area, but I miss it a lot

If the only place you've been is shithole Bourbon St then yes, you would think it would smell.
