This is such a ridiculous charge in just about any circumstance I can imagine. If a cop says someone has to leave, and he doesn't, he gets charged with a crime? WTF?
I am fine with that law if they are trying to do their job and the person in their way is interfering. I am not ok with slamming an innocent dude to the ground and then lying about him assaulting a cop. A charge like that when you are 22 will literally ruin your life.

I spent a night in Parish prison and that's when I completely lost respect for all the BR cops. They all acted like a bunch of uneducated backwoods hicks, and treated us all like we were mass murderers or child molesters -- cursing at us and degrading us. We had about 15 of us in one large holding cell and we were all trying to sleep -- every once in a while one of the cops would come with his billy club and loudly rap it on the bars to purposely wake us up. Another guy obviously had a bad back and the prison nurse had given him a mattress to sleep on. One of the cops noticed it and went into the cell and pulled it out and made him sleep on the concrete floor. Total dicks who went out of their way to abuse authority.
Uhh, isn't the Sheriff's office the one who runs the prison? BRPD should not have officers within the jail.

I love how it's not a crime for a police officer to lie in his police report and make up reasons to charge someone with felony violent crimes that will drastically damage soneone's life.
I'm thinking he could be charged with Filing a false public document and/or malfeasance in office (I didn't google the LRS)
Also, unless there's some other footage that WAFB doesn't have, his arrest report has some credibility issues. If he did in fact lie, all his future testimony in all of his cases can be called into question. He'd be "Giglio-impaired".
I'm sure there are some lawyers or cops that will correct me if I'm wrong.

Why was the kid in the white shirt cuffed? He was just standing there with his back turned.
In the article, the Virginia kid said he's applying for the Peace Corps. He'd better get this situation straightened out in his favor with a quickness, or he can forget about that.

This needs to be the big one for baton rouge cops. The department needs to be largely dismantled.
I hope the parents of the kids that have claims against the cops can win enough in damages to financially cripple the force.

Between you and "the guy who was beaten" there is only one person who deserves to get their arse beaten.

This should be the final straw to dismiss this joke of a dept.
The chief is a hack and should be embarrassed that he is the puppet of the police union.
Chris white and the police union need to be investigated by the metropolitan crime commission.
It's time we cleaned house and appointed a new chief from out of the area that will fire these clowns or dismantle the dept.

Hell yessssss! . He obviously cursed the officer, resisted their continuous requests for dispersing, was drunk, and needed to be handled exactly like that. Don't come to BR if you are a pussy. Kudos to the BRPD! We need more of this! Fist pumps! I had to watch it several times to thoroughly enjoy this. I would have tasered his arse too for having that damn red shirt on instead of the PnG....

Previous BRPD chief was fired. What was the reasoning Kip Holden fired him? I think I remember someone saying it was because of his battles with the police union and because he created an unhealthy work environment for for other cops.

frick that entire department. Give Sid and his boys some extra cash to hire the absolute best of BRPD and the rest of it needs to be destroyed and the remaining retards fired. You don't hear this shite with EBRSO or the LSP.

Is there a betting line on whether the officer is cleared of all charges? I'm willing to put the house on that.
Also, has no one mentioned the closing line of the video? 20 PEOPLE WERE ARRESTED?

Of course he will be cleared all he has to say is he felt threatened
Posted on 12/27/14 at 9:53 am to NorthshoreTiger76
Naw. He'll be cleared, but it won't be for that reason. The video is pretty damn clear, and I have it on damn good authority that the other footage from the bar has nothing on it.

I was at University of Washington decades ago. The Seattle Police were pretty picky about who patrolled that area. They were usually pretty laid back. The guys that liked to bang heads worked downtown.
