If we don't make the playoffs next year would it be "underperforming"?

I keep hearing ppl say we're going to be loaded etc etc. Does that mean everybody expects a playoff run? And if not how much hotter does Miles seat get?

No, just competitive in the West at least.

LSU should finish top two in the SEC West. I don't expect to beat Alabama.

I'm of the opinion that the 2015 season is a success if and only if there are:
1) Beat Bama.
2) No more than 2 losses at the end of the season.
3) Win the West and play for the SEC title in Atlanta.

Nothing less than meeting these three criteria are acceptable, IMO.

10 plus wins and compete to win the west should be the yearly expectations IMO.

Yes.

And yes, his seat should be really hot.

1. Miles' seat is not even warm much less hot. His bosses have no thought of terminating Les now or next year. Miles' seat will become warm to hot only when LSU starts losing profit from football games, ie when ticket sales decrease or attendance decreases in a major way. Dr Alexander, the BOS, and Alleva don't look at wins and losses, they look at LSU Football as a cash cow and as long as it produces, Les is safe.

2. I expect LSU to win double digit games next year. Whether we are in the SECCG depends on how many underclassmen leave, how our qb's improve, and how tough the SECW is next year.

Honestly, until LSU beats Bama, pretty much any season is going to have a disappointing feel to many fans now that we've lost to them four times in a row including the shutout in the NC and a couple of heart breakers at home. Also, they are basically the team we need to beat to make it back to the SECCG. It's just the way it is. We have to get over that hump.

I expect 10 regular season wins at the minimum. I don't know if that is enough to win the West, but I know that we should be 8-0 going into the game against Bama. Ole Miss and Bama on the road will be hell, but I think we win every other game.

No and not very hot, unless we lose 4 or more again. And then it would be luke warm.

Miles can keep rolling with 2-4 losses per year and be fine. And that's what I think happens from here on out. It won't ever be NCG material but it won't fall off of a cliff.

I've come to accept it. I'll be pleasantly surprised if he pulls another 2011 out.

I don't think Ole Miss will be HELL....they are going to find out what it's like to play with no qb, and throw in the fact they don't have a good running game, and that a physical team can run the ball on them....I just don't get all the Ole Miss love......they were a pretty good team this past year....both them and State will decline next year.

Until the final date to leave passes, we are not sure who is staying and who is leaving.

It depends. shite happens. If we get some players back and stay away from suspension and injuries to key players. Then yeah, our defense should be good enough to get us there.

It won't be warm unless we have a losing record. We were in the top 5 in the country in ticket sales last season. That number only increased this year with an expanded stadium.
